December 10, 1992 is the day of adoption of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
The law consists of 13 articles, which establish that our anthem is a symbol of state sovereignty, and that it is the patriotic duty of each of our compatriots to treat it with great respect.
It was emphasized that the citizens of Uzbekistan, as well as other persons living in our country, are obliged to respect our anthem.
The author of the anthem is the Hero of Uzbekistan, the national poet of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov, the music was written by the national Artist of Uzbekistan, the outstanding composer Mutal Burkhanov.
The national anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan serves as an important educational tool in the formation of youth’s love for the Motherland, deep respect for our rich history, national identity, and in the formation of our children as versatile and mature people.
