History of the Department
The Department of theory and practice of the French language was established in 1968 on the basis of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Andijan State Pedagogical Institute, under the jurisdiction of the Department of German language. From 1972 it began to function as a separate department of French. 1972-1973 senior lecturer A.Mamadaliyev, candidate of philological Sciences 1973-1982, Associate Professor A.Yizhov, candidate of philological Sciences 1982-1987, Associate Professor A.Mamadaliyev, candidate of philological Sciences 1987-1996, associate professor J.Ismailov, candidate of philological Sciences 1996-2006, Associate Professor Yizhov, candidate of philological Sciences 2006-2011, associate professor J.Ismailov, candidate of philological Sciences 2011-2018, Associate Professor A.Mamadaliyev, 2018-2022 doctor of philosophy in philological Sciences (PhD) Z. Rayimzhonov worked as a manager. Since September 2022, he has been a doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in philological Sciences, Associate Professor M.Ishanazhnova was appointed head of the Department.
Department activities
The department was originally established in 1972 under the name” French language”. Senior lecturer of the Department A.Mamadaliyev was appointed as a manager in 1972. In 2022, the Department of theory and practice of the French language was named in order to form theoretical and practical knowledge in teaching foreign languages. Over the past period, more than 10 professors and teachers have carried out scientific and pedagogical activities in the Department. Since the establishment of the department, 3 members of the Department have received the scientific degrees of candidate of science. There are 3 computers in our department in classes and they are effective method for students to be interested in.
Tasks before the Department
The team of the department is responsible for training mature bachelors and masters in teaching French, obtaining educational, educational-methodological, research, spiritual and educational work. Currently, the department operates 3 candidates of Sciences, 1 senior teacher, 5 assistants.
Priority areas of research activities of the Department:
- Research on methodological-didactic problems of interdisciplinary communication and integration in the system of teaching foreign languages.
- Improvement of qualification requirements and training programs in teaching foreign languages on the basis of foreign advanced experience;
- Research of technologies for improving the effectiveness of training in the system of teaching foreign languages.
- To ensure the logical continuity and consistency of the components of the Foreign Language Teaching System and to make a solution for the problems of the strategy;
- Research of technologies for the development of professional competence, foreign language competencies and Information Culture in the system of teaching foreign languages.
