At Andijan State Institute of Foreign Languages, dual education provides students with opportunities to strengthen their theoretical knowledge through practical experience, gain professional skills, and earn an income while still studying. The activities of the institute’s students at various educational institutions were featured in a special report broadcast by the “Uzbekistan 24” television channel.
The report highlighted the activities of a private kindergarten established by a fourth-year student of the institute in the Shifokor neighborhood of Andijan city. Taking advantage of a preferential loan provided by the government, the student opened this educational facility. Today, 50 children are studying foreign languages and developing modern skills at the kindergarten. In addition to establishing her own business, the student has also created employment opportunities for four of her fellow students.
At Technical School No. 3 in Andijan city, students of the institute who hold international language certificates have been involved in foreign language classes. Alongside teaching students, they are also improving their own pedagogical skills and gaining valuable practical experience. Students at the technical school are preparing to obtain national and international language certificates.
Another area of dual education can be seen at the Tourism Technical School. Students of the institute are taking part in the training of future tour guides, hotel employees, and tourism professionals, applying their knowledge directly in practice.
Meanwhile, students completing their practical training at School No. 17 in Andijan city are involved in inclusive education. They conduct lessons independently, work with students, and put foreign language teaching methods into practice.
In the 2026/2027 academic year, 1,551 students studying in the third and fourth years of the institute, or 61.6 percent of all students in these years, have been enrolled in dual education. They have been assigned to 876 educational institutions, enterprises, and organizations across the region. Currently, 723 students are combining their studies with employment. Their monthly income ranges from 1.5 million to 15 million Uzbek soums.
The activities of the institute’s students are also contributing to the development of vocational education and the teaching of foreign languages in local communities. During the previous academic year, 816 students at vocational education institutions received foreign language instruction, and 598 of them obtained international certificates. Foreign language courses have also been organized for labor migrants in local communities.
Through dual education, students are able to apply their knowledge directly in the workplace, gain practical experience, and prepare themselves for their future careers. The initiatives being implemented at the institute are strengthening cooperation between educational institutions, employers, and young people.
